There comes a time in parenting when love must shift.

You still care.

You still pray.

But you no longer carry what was never yours to hold.

Adult children will make their own choices.

They will grow in ways you cannot manage and learn in ways you cannot control.

And that’s not failure…

that’s life unfolding under God’s hand.

Weightless living is not detachment.

It is trust.

It is loving deeply without taking ownership of outcomes.

It is releasing the urge to step in, fix, or overextend.

It is choosing peace while still standing in love.

You did the best you could with what you knew.

And as you have grown… so will they.

God is still writing their story.

And He never asked you to carry what only He can hold.

Prayer

Lord, teach me how to live weightless.

Show me how to release every heavy thought and every temptation to carry what is not mine.

Help me trust You fully with my children and their journey.

Let my love remain, but let the weight go.
